Free discussion with Ko Kyaw Kyaw (PDC)

Aung Moe Win

New York ( September 20, 2003 ) After a ceremory of 15th anniversary of National League for Democracy (NLD), many people wanted to have a meeting or free discussion with Ko Kyaw Kyaw .

Therefore new yorkers arranged a discussion at Ko Mhue Thar's house, and
they asked frankly to Ko Kyaw Kyaw ( PDC).Some students and youths asked
about NCGUB and NCUB road map and why NCUB members came United States and other places. Some questions , feeling and opinions at that discussion were
interesting. Students from Canada, Upstate New York, Fort Wayne, bakatha members, DBSO and some activists from New York attended that discussion. That's why I send this message what the essence of meeting was.

Here is some questions and answers;

Ko Mhue Thar : Most of people in here are suffering because some people from
Border-line used mass when they need. That's no problem. But the problems is
people want strong leadership, and they are asking how they will lead. They want to support NCGUB and NCUB, but they don't know how to support. So NCGUB and NCUB should explain and organize them.

Ko Tin Win Thein:Do you think NCUB is enough to struggle for movement? How
much do have you prepared for that? NCUB is like ANC in South Africa? I think the structure of NCUB doesn't fit with American Structure.

Aung Moe Win: We hear some news ( may be it is rumor), but I want to know
clearly. I also decided to ask to Dr Sein Win and U Bo Hla Tint. Do NCUB and
NCGUB have road map ? What is that?

Myo Thant: If our leaders are not strong enough, our revolution will not succeed. We have plan to discuss with NLD (LA) and NCGUB.

Ko Kyaw Kyaw gave clear answers.

First , he explained the current situation. For example, inside people are
not afraid of interview. At their interview, they speak out openly. Not only
our people but Kyaunt Phont (UDSA) send the real situation in Burma to radio
broadcastings. SPDC is also not good in shape .

He said he noted Ko Tin Win Thein's questions , and he will discuss with
NCUB members.

**Activists in exile need to identify who they are individually or organizationally. CRPP and Daw Aung San Su Ky is a key for us, and we need to play our roll. For example, he can not serve as a member of NPU or NCGUB because they had mandate and these people were born by 1990 election result. Therefore, we have to accept good things ( 50%) by threwing away (50% bad things). We had jokes that it is like Thanmawayama. (If you want to buy rice, you have to also buy candles where you like or not)There is no road map without Daw Aung San Su Kyi.

**NCUB and NCGUB have a road map, but it was based on Daw Aung San Su Kyi
and 1990 election result. Without DASSK and 1990 election result, we will
not accept other Road Map. Our Road Map is just for tool, and pressure to
SPDC and UN.

He also said some rumors are very funny . Therefore we need to practise the
discussion at the table frankly or keep in touch.

As a return, we ,New Yorkers explained Raod Map conference at Fort Wayne is
just for military regime change.( No purpose to interrupt other process such
as political transation, CRPP and 1990 election result )

Our discussion was over at mid-night. We suggest we should ask frankly to
every body if we are still confusing on NCGUB and NCUB. Otherwise, our
struggle will face with a lot of difficulties, and our unity will fall down.

****** If some people have information or news about NCGUB and NCUB's road map, we would like to know about that because we need to discuss legally for our struggle and history because some news are still complicated among us. Let try to clear "the meaning of Road Map".************
