Burma FM visit to India

Despite strong criticism among the masses about the recent arrest of world famous leader Aung San Suu Kyi,Burmese Foreign Minister Win Aung will undertake two-day visit to India from tomorrow,highly-placed official sources told this correspondent today. The foreign minister visit has created sensation among the political circles at a time when several political parties have been vehemently opposing the arrest of Aung San Suu kyi.

The Burmese Foreign minister is likely to hold a series of talks with his Indian counterpart covering border dispute and supply of arms and ammunition to Burma.India and Burma have improved bilateral relations to a large extent within a span of just three years .

The sources further stated that India is likely to raise the militancy issue as it has affecxted the economy of the northeast India to a large extent .”Militancy certainly figure in the course of discussion between the two senior leaders”,the sources added.
It is the second visit of the Burmese Foreign minister within a span of just four months.

The sources also said that the Burmese foreign minister is likely to meet senior ministers of the NDA government of India .
