Indian Air Force team visiting Burma

A team of high-ranking Indian Air Force officials are visiting
a Burmese military airbase at Taungoo in central Burma.
The team flew from New Delhi to Mandalay airport in a special
plane on 7 February, according to a Burmese army officer who
doesn’t want to be identified. The team with a crew
of test pilots flew to Taungoo on 8 February.
The latest news came amid the reports that Burma is seeking
military hardware from India.
Similarly, an Indian communication company, TCCI is preparing
to install high-tech communication network for the country’s
junta, State Peace and Development Council (SPDC).
U Htay Aung, an exiled Burmese expert on the army in Burma
said that preparations and modernisations are done with the
view of stopping the intervention of the USA through Thailand.
