Four NLD leaders
released from house arrest

Four NLD leaders who were put under house arrest by Burma’s
military regime, the SPDC after the infamous Dipeyin have
been released recently.
The central working committee members of the NLD, U Than
Tun, U Hla Pe, U Soe Myint and U Nyunt Wei were released at
about 2.30pm on 23 November by the order of the military intelligence
service (MIS) Chief, General Than Tun.
But the NLD Chairman U Aung Shwe, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, U
Lwin and U Loon Tin are still being kept under house arrest.
Similarly, the exact condition of U Tin Oo who is being detained
at Kale Prison in upper Burma is not known.
DVB tried to contact all the four released but their phone
lines were still cut off.
