The health condition of U Tin Oo is not good

The health condition of the NLD vice-chairman U Tin Oo who was arrested during Dipeyin incident and currently imprisoned at Kale Prison in upper Burma is not good, according to the wife of a political prisoner who recently visited the prison to see her husband.

Daw Thandar, the wife of U Ne Oo said that U Tin Oo is held in solitary confinement and not allowed to communicate with his colleagues and fellow prisoners U Tin Aung Aung of Northwest Mandalay Township, the MP of Myingyan U Paw Khin and Monywa Township NLD chairman Dr. Win Aung.

She said that U Tin Oo has been suffering from severe cold due to extreme weather condition and gastric complaints. The health conditions of other 8 political prisoners incarcerated in the prison with longer sentences before Dipeyin incident are said to be worse. The oldest, U Tin Aung Aung is suffering from diabetes and heart condition. U Ne Oo has gastric diseases and U Saw Win has acute stomach pains.

Those political prisoners are still being held in the prison for not signing the agreement not to get involved in politics in the future.
