The reason for our plea is that we have only one person like Daw Aung San Suu Kyi in Burma at the moment. Her father is General Aung San. We have only one who sacrifices her life for the democracy of Burma, just like her father.

We have so much hope in her as a leader. Her death would be very damaging for our country. In this case, she is staging the hunger strike like U Wisara before her. They remain in our country as statues, but there is no improvement in the country. We don’t want that.

As it is her moment now, we believe that she should not do so. We do not want her to stage hunger strike. If you really believe in politics, work for the way you could achieve democracy – these are what we want to say.
