Police tighten its security
measures
DVB ( Aug 27, 2003 )
The Police Directorate has sent a directive to police stations
throughout Burma warning them to be especially security conscious
and alert during these days.
The directive was sent in response to the major cabinet reshuffle.
According to the directive, the police agents are instructed
to carefully listen to the people’s conversations about
the changes within the SPDC, and to summon and warn those
who say more than they should.
Moreover, the police officers are warned by the directive
from Police Directorate in Rangoon that big problems could
spark off suddenly from little incidents. The local police
officers must report daily to their headquarters concerning
rumours and unusual incidents.
