Burmese workers show respect to the Queen of Thailand

Burmese migrant workers at Maesod, in northwest Thailand donated blood to honour the Thai Queen’s birthday.

“Today (13 August) is the birthday of the Queen of Thailand and Mothers’ Day in Thailand. We want to show that we are like the Thai people, we, the Burmese workers in Thailand respect Thai’s Mothers’ Day. We want to tell that to Thai people through the hospital staff,” said Ko Akar of ‘Moe Thauk Pan’.

The event was organised by ‘Moe Thauk Pann’ and ‘Yaung Chi Oo’ Burmese workers’ unions at Maesod General Hospital.
