Elected democracy party representative
flees to Thailand

According to latest reports coming in from Bangkok, Daw San
San, elected representative from National League for Democracy,
who fled Burma arrived in Thailand today.
Daw San San, a representative of Seikkan Township Constituency
in Rangoon Division who had been imprisoned on several occasions,
fled the country because she could no longer bear the oppression
by the SPDC (State Peace and Development Council).
So far, two elected representatives have fled to Thailand
in the two months since the Tabayin incident. The other representative
who fled to Thailand is Duwa Zau Aung who is elected from
Kachin State's Waingmaw Township Constituency. (BBC Monitoring
