November 10, 2003, Minn Kyaw ( Malaysia )

On the night of 3th NOV 2003, 17 Myanmar G2G system ( Government to Government Direct Calling ) Workers made a complaint to their personalsupervisor and walkout from their factory because they were forced to workeveryday until mid night and never receive any proper medications andfacilities under their contract.

" I don't known when happen in the factory? we even can't told to themedia what happen in our factory because it is small matter" . we interviewed one of the director from Halal poultry meat processing SDN.BHD ( Company No: 61755-T ) from in Johor Bahu, far away from the city of Batu Pahat, Jalan Minyak Beku, Batu 4 ( 1/2 ) .

" Our Boss and our Supervisor forced us to work the over time everydayand we can't get full salary and no facilities were provided except shelter by our Contract and under Malaysia labour laws. Everyday, we had to drink the water from the toilet, and together sleep in the small dirty area in the house and we are living with fear under their commands. if we fight for our rights, They will threaten to report the matter to the police , giving them (police) wrong information and and force us to work back again" said one of the Burmese worker, who is a degree holder from the University of Yangon.

Hence, the factory Foreign worker are forced to worked until mid night and without knowing that their salary were cut off for Malaysia Government Levi RM$ 200 per month, Behaviour bond RM$ 200 per month to give their employer and they only received only RM$100 monthly. Public transport hardto get ,if they do, they have to wait for an hour. Poor facilities such as public phone, shops and clinic, were not provided as what the (company) promised in the contract. The y called action on this matter from the Ministry Of Labour ( Malaysia ) and all the NGOs ( Non- Government Organizations )

Until today, Hundreds Thousand G2G ( Goverment to Goverment system )Burmese/Myanmmar worker are suffering, working here and still comming to
Malaysia. hoping for a bright future. The Myanmmar embassy in Malaysiaare irresponsible and should to be blame like this incident not only here, in Malaysia itself.
