Forced Worker or Labour
: Under Malaysian laws and Behaviour Bond

On the night of 3th NOV 2003, 17 Myanmar G2G system ( Government
to Government Direct Calling ) Workers made a complaint to their
personalsupervisor and walkout from their factory because they were
forced to workeveryday until mid night and never receive any proper
medications andfacilities under their contract.
" I don't known when happen in the factory? we even can't told
to themedia what happen in our factory because it is small matter"
. we interviewed one of the director from Halal poultry meat processing
SDN.BHD ( Company No: 61755-T ) from in Johor Bahu, far away from
the city of Batu Pahat, Jalan Minyak Beku, Batu 4 ( 1/2 ) .
" Our Boss and our Supervisor forced us to work the over time
everydayand we can't get full salary and no facilities were provided
except shelter by our Contract and under Malaysia labour laws. Everyday,
we had to drink the water from the toilet, and together sleep in
the small dirty area in the house and we are living with fear under
their commands. if we fight for our rights, They will threaten to
report the matter to the police , giving them (police) wrong information
and and force us to work back again" said one of the Burmese
worker, who is a degree holder from the University of Yangon.
Hence,the factory Foreign worker are forced to worked until mid
night and without knowing that their salary were cut off for Malaysia
Government Levi RM$ 200 per month, Behaviour bond RM$ 200 per month
to give their employer and they only received only RM$100 monthly.
Public transport hardto get ,if they do, they have to wait for an
hour. Poor facilities such as public phone, shops and clinic, were
not provided as what the (company) promised in the contract. The
y called action on this matter from the Ministry Of Labour ( Malaysia
) and all the NGOs ( Non- Government Organizations )
Until today, Hundreds Thousand G2G ( Goverment to Goverment system
)Burmese/Myanmmar worker are suffering, working here and still comming
to
Malaysia. hoping for a bright future. The Myanmmar embassy in Malaysiaare
irresponsible and should to be blame like this incident not only
here, in Malaysia itself.
