Help free Burma by laughing
Dear Friend
It's time to help free Burma by laughing again. Our benefit for
Burma evening is returning for its third year. This year it will
be held on Friday 28th November- doors open at 7pm, performances
start at 8pm sharp. The venue: Conway Hall, Holborn, London.
Our host will be magician and comedian John Lenahan. John has appeared
on dozens of TV programmes, ranging from his own series on BBC2,
Stuff The White Rabbit, to the voice of the toaster in Red Dwarf.
Singer songwriter Mike Rosenberg is back by popular demand, as
are Heidi Vogel and Gustavo Marquez.
Headlining is John Otway, still celebrating his second hit in 25
years. His first hit, Cor Baby That's Really Free, was back in 1977.
For more than two decades John managed an amazing run of flops,
until finally his fans took charge and voted that Bunsen Burner
should be his next single. It went into the top ten last year. Currently
touring the UK on his Greatest Hits tour, John's music combines
rock, pop and comedy, often all in one song. If you haven't seen
him yet, don't miss this chance. Find out more about John athttp://www.johnotway.com/biog.html.
As usual traditional homemade Burmese food will be on sale, and
of course there will be a bar.
This event sells out every year, so book early to avoid disappointment.
