URGENT ACTION ALERT!!!!
We are organizing to stage a protest in front of Thai embassy with
an aim to denounce Thai government’s prejudice force-repatriating
of the democratic forces and refugees in the Burma-Thai border areas
one hand and supporting Khin Nyunt’s labyrinthine road-map
on the other.
Coincidently, this is a good timing for us to do such action when
the US’s President Bush, who has tremendous enthusiasm in
bringing down the dictatorships in Burma, will be in Thailand to
observe the APEC meeting. During his trip there President Bush will
have an ideal opportunity to take a stand against the brutal regime
and in defense of our sequestered Daw Suu and her colleagues in
Burma's National League for Democracy. In his one-on-one meetings
with Asian leaders at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit
Oct. 21 in Bangkok and in his public statements, President Bush
should leave no doubt that the United States will persist in its
use of sanctions and diplomatic pressure until the junta frees Suu
Kyi and 1,400 other political prisoners
We urge all the activists and oppositions around the globe to stage
a protest in front of Thai embassy denouncing the Thai government’s
and calling for the President Bush to help us and our struggles
fighting for the restoration of freedom and democracy in Burma more
and effectively.
“DOWN WITH THE ROAD-MAP which means the direction to grave
in Burmese.”
