Dear Friends,
Please join us for a demonstration in front of the Burmese regime's
embassy this Friday, October 17th, at 10:00 am. October 18th in
Burma (the 17th here because of the time difference) is the birthday
of Min Ko Naing, Burma's most prominent student leader.
On that day, students at 50 universities in the United States and
around the world will be fasting and holding demonstrations and
film screenings of documentary entitled " Burma Behind Bars"
produced by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners-
Burma to
raise awareness about Min Ko Naing and the struggle for freedom
and democracy by students in Burma.
Time: 10:00 am-11:00 am
Date: Friday, October 17th, 2003
Location: Burmese regime's embassy, 2300 S St.,
NW
Directions: From Dupont Circle metro stop, walk
up Massachusetts Ave towards Northwest to S St. Take a right on
S, and then walk up to 2300 S.
It's about a 10-12 minute walk from the Metro.
