  INVITATION LETTER

Date: September 26, 2003

The Battle of Political Defiance No.74 - "Anti-Dictatorship Peoples' Freedom Movement" will continue. The people led by the NLD members are rallying in front of the hospital, where Daw Suu’s surgery was taken place, with their ultimate worries about her now. We find no suitable word to express our concern about her, especially at this crucial time, being held by the most brutal and wicked regime that has infamous records for poisoning the popular politicians when they were under treatment by the regime during their detentions.

We are very thankful to the international community and ASEAN especially the Indonesian envoy to Burma and Thai foreign minister who are calling on the regime releasing Daw Suu.

We need to demand India, China and Thailand for their more cooperation with the democratic forces instead of helping the regime to produce illicit drugs and to spread them around the world more.

Our main focus for this week is;

1. our appeal letter to the ASEAN member countries to call on the regime the releasing of Daw Suu immediately and un conditionally before ASEAN regional forum on October 7, 2003,

2. to call on the activists around the world to continue their prayer service or vigil for the health and freedom of Daw Suu,

3. to call on the activists and oppositions around the globe for the continuation of their demands to the governments of their countries to put a pressure on the UN an immediate intervention of Burma’s crisis,

4. to call on the UN an immediate response investigating the responsible persons and organizations for May 30’s MASSACRE.
