Action (1) On Tuesday September 16, 2003
On behalf of families and relatives of the NLD members and supporters,
who were brutally assassinated in the Depeyin Assassination, where
Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was arrested on May 30, we, members of BSDO
Canada are going to donate the "Phongyi Swan" to the monks
on Tuesday September 16. In remembrance of the 15 years, this is
also dedicated to many of courageous peaceful demonstrators, who
were horribly shot down under the military regime's machine guns
during the coup of September 18, 1988.
The reason the September 16 has been chosen is that we would like
to honour the day that the Committee Representing People Parliament
(CRPP) was formed on September 16, 1998. The major task of CRPP
is to hold parliament in implement the results of 1990 election.
