Letter of Condolence on Foreign Minister, Anna Lindh’s Passing Away

We, democratic Burmese groups, have got great sorrow and shock for minister of foreign affair, Anna Lindh’s passing away today morning.

It is a loss of Swedish government's skillful leader, Swedish people's heart and Swedish face of the world.

We express our appreciation for her outstanding of human rights, democracy and humanitarian issues around the world and especially she will be always remembered for her sharp criticism on Burmese military junta’s oppression on its won people. She always stood with us for transition to democracy in Burma.

We also express our strong condemnation on her murder.

Our thoughts and prayers go to Anna’s children, her husband and her family and we express our condolences to the people of Sweden.
