LOS ANGELES —Police asked for the
public's help today in solving the murder of a 20 year-old student
from Myanmar.
Zaw Htet, a student at Santa Monica City College, was found stabbed
to death in an alley near West Pico Boulevard and Corning Street
about 11:15 p.m. on July 10, said Officer Jason Lee, an LAPD spokesman.
Detectives are looking for John Aye Ko, also from Myanmar, as a
"person of interest," Lee said.
Ko is between 28 and 32, 5 feet 7, weighs about 135 pounds and

Anyone with information about the stabbing was asked to call homicide
detectives at the LAPD's West Los Angeles Station at (310) 575-8917.
