SSA urge the international community to push
pressure on the Burmese Junta
It has been the third time of detentions of the Bumese military
on Aung
Sun Su Kyi, in order to eschew from the power transferring and to
cling on
the power, it continously to arrest her anytime without any good
reasons.
During her trip to Shan State, the Burmese Military Intelligence
agents
were keeping eyes on her and forbid the local Shan State people
to meet her
independently as well as the ethnic cease-fire groups inside Shan
State.
The Burmese Military is oppressing its own people and especially
on the
women’s rights.
I would like to urge the international community and the world power
leaders to have sympathy on the people from the Union of Burma and
call for the
immediate release of Aung Sun Su Kyi and all the NLD (National League
for Democracy) members.
Addition to that, the international community should provide assistance
to Aung Sun Su Kyi in regards of power transferring as she has won
a
landslide victory in 1990 election by the people’s votes.
If merely demanding for
her release, the Burmese junta could and can arrest her anytime
again.
The NLD and the all-ethnic political parties have been long-waited
for
a Tripartite Dialogue but it never takes place. If the Tripartite
Dialogue cannot be carried out, the two parties dialogue between
the NLD and
SPDC should be prioritized and the talks between the ethnic political
parties can be taken in a second place and be assure that Aung Sun
Su Kyi was able to hold on power. After that our ethnic political
parties can talk with
her for the sake of peace in the future of Burma.
Our ethnic political parties have waited to talk and solve the political
conflicts with the Burmese junta through a political, peaceful means
for more than a decade but their desires were not fulfilled. Therefore,
the
only hope for a dialogue is talking with Aung Sun Su Kyi after only
being
released and gaining state power.
Based the junta’s suppression and on many problems, the people
of Burma
have been suffered for decades and declining to one of the poorest
countries
in the world.
Therefore, I would like to call on the international community and
the
world leaders not to forget the suffering of Burmese people and
save them
from the brutal, tyranny of Burmese military.
With Respects
Yawd Serk
